Fair season in New Hampshire is right around the corner, and I can already smell the apple crisp and maple cream–smothered fried dough calling my name. If you’re anything like me, this time of year brings back all the cozy fall feels: crisp air, flannel everything, and the fun of small-town fairs. From 4-H shows to ferris wheels and fried everything, New Hampshire’s fair season is a can’t-miss experience for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re here for the rides, the live music, the farm animals, or, most importantly, the FOOD, 2026’s lineup of fairs is shaping up to be one of the best yet.

It’s not in NH, but it’s always been our FAVORITE. They all seem to have fewer real craft vendors, but they at least have a great selection of food and, rides, and animals. The Fryeburg Fair – Fryeburg, Maine. Details can be found here.
